Hi and welcome to episode 4 of the Balanced Yogi Podcast.
The Gratitude Meditation has been created for you to see your body not as something that needs fixing, changing or improving but something to celebrate and really be grateful for.
I’ve had a pretty rock n roll past, lots of parties, worked myself to burnout, over-exercised, and, brought myself back from an eating disorder.
So, it’s fair to say my body has taken a bit of battering over the years.
I was early 30’s before I started to take proper care of myself. I’ve also spent most of my life criticising my body. Ginger frizzy hair, pale skin, wobbly bits, lumps and bumps. Comparing myself to others.
That didn’t stop immediately when I found yoga and meditation. It’s been a slow process. I have to be kind to myself every day. Sometimes I have to stop myself and be grateful for how far I’ve come so that I don’t disappear down rabbit holes again.
The saying ‘love the skin you’re in’ can feel like a joke when wearing the Negative Nelly Filter.
The good news is it can be reversed. If we put a little practice in we can begin to love our bodies. If that seems like a tall order how about liking it?
Seriously, if I can do it, anyone can!
Today I would like to share with you a practice that is close to my heart. I’d love to hear about your experiences? Let me know in the comments below. Lynz xoxo
I can’t wait to hear how you find the practice. Leave me a comment below.
If you enjoy the practice I’d love you to join me for a bit of yoga and meditation:
My meditations are free and have been created to help to support people across the world. It takes many hours for me to create and produce the content. If you benefit from our time together and would like to contribute, please feel free to donate.
